What is the Great Yorkshire Show?

The Great Yorkshire Show is rapidly becoming known as one of the best agricultural shows in the UK. It’s 250-acre showground in Harrogate welcomes around 140,000 visitors over four days in July each year.

It’s run by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society with the first show taking place in 1838! You can find out more about the history of the show here

The show celebrates agriculture, food, farming and countryside with plenty of demonstrations, stalls and exhibitions.

LAC @ Great Yorkshire Show 2022

We had a great time at the 163rd Great Yorkshire Show back in July this year. Four days in a gazebo in the Harrogate sunshine meeting lots of lovely people, what could be better?

There were lots of fantastic stalls from businesses big and small across the UK and lots of Yorkshire businesses which was great to see. As much as we love our Park Square clinic, it was lovely to have some time out in the field and experience something new!

We spent the week chatting about all things ears – hearing protection, shooting plugs, ear wax removal, hearing aids, hearing tests and more. Protecting your hearing is so important, especially around noisy machinery or when out shooting. It’s common to have our eyes checked regularly but our ears can often be forgotten about.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s show and hope to see you there!

We couldn’t seem to give away our free ‘earwax’ fudge at the Great Yorkshire Show!

Our Yorkshire sign got plenty of laughs throughout the week. We thoroughly enjoyed listening to visitors from outside of Yorkshire give the sign a go!
